Description
A day in the life of Sainsbury’s superstore at Marsh Mills Plymouth.

Production notes
The documentary features stop-motion animation and time-lapse sequences filmed on location in and around the landmark Sainsbury’s superstore at Marsh Mills, Plymouth. We used colour negative Super 8 filmstock from the United States in a range of speeds to capture the rhythms of activity by staff and shoppers; a visitor to the bird hide; the tidal movement on the Laira estuary and River Plym; and the trains, cars and people passing through the area; the processed film was then telecinéed to BetaSP videotape for editing.
